Riley's by the Seawall opened in the Lordship section of Stratford in March of 2018. Upon finding this beautiful, waterfront location, it has been the mission of owners Rich and Steve to create an environment where they knew their guests would feel relaxed and fully accommodated in. 'Livin' the life of Riley' is a phrase that first appeared in the early 1900s and is our motto at the restaurant as it means living the easy life, an existence marked by luxury and a carefree attitude. Upon entering the restaurant, you will notice that our staff is full of life and positivity as they, too, are working to 'live the life of Riley'.

During the summer months, we have live outdoor music on the patio where you are surrounded by tall palm trees, vibrantly colored flowers and an aura of tranquility. Frozen margaritas, daiquiris and our famous mudslide are all MUST tries while staring out into the Long Island Sound.

Rich is from Stamford, Connecticut and is the father to two children and grandfather to one. Rich graduated from Johnson and Wales University with a bachelor's degree in hospitality management. Rich has worked in the restaurant business his entire life and has managed countless restaurants and bars over the last 30 years. Rich's passion for the industry is what inspired him to open a place of his own.
